Some very basic steps for the new design are lighting design, wiring layouts, moods atmospheres, and scenes. These should include any plans, ideas or sketches you have been working on and the budget you have to spend. Lighting design is probably the most important event you can work on , and the major part of any home decorating process It sets the mood and can totally change the feel and look of a room instantly, if done right. Through excellent design, rooms can change before your eyes to something it has never been before. But first, you need to think about what you want. How do you want the lighting design to appear, and what message do you want it to say?
How do you want the room to feel before you begin to do the lighting design? How about calm and peaceful, or invigorating and colorful. The flick of a switch will tell you what transformation the room is going to be thrown into. Hot colors on the wall, with accessories, or with the camera will all give different feelings to each one working on it. The size of a room needs to be taken into effect else before laying out any lights. One idea of the lights can be contemporary lights: wall lights, floor lights, table lights, recessed lights, and surface mounted downlighters. Another idea would be to use exterior lights for any lighting design in the flower gardens or outside statues. It affects the feeling of the room, and also for space you want to highlight or conserve. Lighting design can work miracles in a room if it is organized and put together professionally. Obviously, there are many questions that need to be answered before beginning the lighting design project. Keep a notebook and write down ideas, and keep a sketchbook as ideas sometimes need sketched out. Write down colors and schemes that will develop. Ideas have a tendency to pop up at the most inopportune times and usually you don’t have a pencil or pen handy. The time of day doesn’t pick a favorite moment either, as a good time idea pops up at 2 am just as well as sitting at the table with your list in hand. Keep watching for sales and for those items you want in your new décor. Pick one up at an antique sale or a clearance! |
